World Book Day 2022
Tue 08 Mar 2022This year, the children at Bishop’s Primary Academy celebrated reading by sharing ‘stories from around the world’. Teachers and children had the privilege of listening to stories from many different cultures such as, Poland, Russia, Portugal, Scotland, and England. It was a fantastic day where we were able to hear so many of our very talented bilingual children read aloud to their class.

World Book Day Thursday 3rd March
Tue 22 Feb 2022World Book Day
Thursday 3rd March 2022
We would like to celebrate World Book Day by sharing stories from around the world. We are very fortunate that we have many families with strong links to other countries and we would love to learn about stories from around the world.
The children can bring into school one of the following so they can talk about a story from another country:
- A copy of a book from another country
- A summary a of a story from another country
- A picture of a character from a story from another country
During the day each class will share stories from other cultures and decide on their favourite.
The children should wear their normal school uniform.
