Vision and Ethos

Learning for life in all its fullness John 10:10

We work together to ensure that our school family be safe, happy and learn.

We want our children to succeed and recognise how important it is that their experiences and learning are broad and full. Children need to enjoy academic success to prepare them for the next step in their education. We also strongly believe that our children need a strong focus on their personal development so that they are ready to learn and grow.

Our curriculum highlights opportunities to promote language, personal, cultural and community development through practical and engaging learning.

We want our children to enjoy a full range of experiences and to recognise learning in all that they are involved.

Life at school is based on six core values :

Respect, Friendship, Perseverance, Forgiveness, Courage and Service.

These values are the basis for our approach to school life and are used to promote positive learning behaviours. The values are part of every class and we focus on one each half term. The half termly value becomes a focus for Collective Worship and a vehicle to develop the skills we need to live and learn.
