School closure update 5th January 2021
Dear Mums, Dads and Carers,
Following the announcement by the Prime Minister that schools will be closed to most children until at least February half term we are now working to finalise our plans for this period of time.
Children of critical workers –
For the rest of this week the groups of children already in school will continue in the same classrooms and timings. We will not be admitting any extra children until Monday 11th
If you will need a place for your child because you are a critical worker and need to be in work during school hours please contact office@bishop.norfolk.sch.uk by 12:00 on Wednesday 6th January. We will confirm a place for you by Thursday 7th January at 12:00.
Those children who have been in school this week do not need to contact us as their place is already confirmed.
We need all parents dropping off and collecting their children to wear a mask when they are on the school site.
Home learning
Home learning packs will be available from the front of the school from today. Please wear a mask and respect social distancing when collecting the packs. Please sign that you have taken a pack on the list provided. We will contact any families that have not collected learning packs by 4:00 on Wednesday 6th January.
We have worked hard to improve the levels of engagement with home learning.
- Work will be set to be completed each day.
- Children will be expected to post their work onto the portfolio on Class Dojo each day.
- School staff will acknowledge the children’s work.
- School staff will contact families who are not engaging in home learning.
We hope that we are able to see all children return safely to school as soon as possible.
Best wishes,
Chris Read
Interim Headteacher
