Return to school
Dear Mums, Dads and Carers,
We hope that you have enjoyed a safe, healthy and happy summer.
Although there have been many changes in the Covid 19 restrictions we will still want to take sensible precautions to limit the risk of infection and to manage any confirmed cases in school.
DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL IF THEY ARE DISPLAYING SYMTOMS OF COVID19
ARRANGE A TEST IMMEDIATELY AND LET US KNOW THE RESULT.
THE REST OF THE HOUSEHOLD SHOULD ALSO ARRANGE A PCR TEST.
ANYONE OVER 18 IN THE HOUSEHOLD SHOULD ALSO ISOLATE UNLESS THEY HAVE HAD TWO DOSES OF THE VACCINE
The main change that we will be making from next week is that we will not have staggered starts or ends to the day.
Nursery sessions will run from 8:30 – 11:30 and 12:30 – 3:30.
The rest of school should arrive at 8:50. The school day will end at 3:15.
We encourage you to drop KS2 children (year 3/4/5/6) off at the front of the school. There will still be a one way system around the school to try and avoid crowding. Staff will be on duty in the playground to ensure that the children go into class safely and happily. The first day back is likely to be busy so please be patient as we will ask you to stay away from class room doors if areas become crowded.
If you need to speak to your child’s teacher please be considerate and keep a 2m distance. School staff have to mix with large numbers of people which raises the risk of infection. We will continue to limit the number of visitors to the school and limit the number in reception. Please be patient.
All children must wear school uniform. They should bring their PE kit in to change on PE days. No one will need their kit on the first day.
The children are only allowed to bring a reading book, a coat, a FULL water bottle and their lunch into school.
We are looking forward to the start of the term and hope that all goes smoothly. We will review our procedures as we see the impact of the return to school.
